Becky Hites is a globally renowned steel consultant. She was actively associated with Qatar Steel in an important market study ‘Competitive Position of Qatar Steel’ when she was the Managing Partner of World Steel Dynamics during 2008 and 2009. During this assignment, she carried out extensive research and analysis on long products including cost parameters to arrive at the cost position of Qatar Steel compared to regional and global mills. I have known her very well since then and had a number of interesting interactions with her. Her understanding of the steel business is incredible with in-depth knowledge of various steel markets across the globe.
